Lovely house with everything we could possibly want - lovely meals in croyde and the two pubs in nearby Georgeham- croyde beach lovely but sadly the cafe was only doing ice creams and no food - great walk up to baggy point - a lovely holiday all round

Very convenient location in the village
Nice enough bungalow in the best location in the village. Walkable to every amenity, the beach and coast path. Bathrooms would benefit from modernisation and we had no hot water upstairs. A tumble dryer for rentals in October (even if it is pay to use) would be a huge bonus as nothing seems to dry at this of year! Kitchen needs a soft everyday broom and a cafetière.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions to the property. We have passed them onto the owners for their consideration. The owners will be providing a broom for future bookings and replacing the cafetière.
There are no plans to make any changes to the bathrooms at the property. We are sorry, and surprised, to hear that you had issues with hot water. If we had been made aware during your stay we would have ensured that this was rectified as quickly as possible. The hot water for downstairs and upstairs are operated on the same system. The system has been checked since your review and we can confirm that it is providing hot water upstairs. Thank you for your suggestion for a tumble dryer. Unfortunately, the owner will not be providing a tumble dryer at the property. We do hope to welcome you back in the future.Lovely home from home cottage
We had a wonderful stay at Summer Shores. The cottage is well equipped and the rooms are very large. We were so lucky with the weather and got lots of use of the garden. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Convenient for walking to beach, shops, and local pubs and surf-related services. We were unable to locate the correct container for the recycling collection, so, despite putting the recycling out on the correct day, it was not taken, which caused us some inconvenience.

Stayed at Summer Shores for a week in September. The Cottage is very centrally located a short walk from the beach and the village amenities. Parking for two cars is available, although is quite narrow at the top! All in all a well equipped cottage in a great location.

Really lovely holiday house, very clean and well kept. Nice size for 6 people with plenty of space. Location worked well, near the centre and short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic, spacious home with lovely garden
Lovely modern home with plenty of space to relax and chill. The house was freshly decorated, was very well equipped with all the cooking bits we needed. Powerful Wi-fi to keep the kids online. Easy walk to the beach and very close to local amenities and restaurants. We had a lovely time

Happy holiday house
Our third year at Summer Shores and we had a happy, fun holiday. The layout of the house was perfect for children, parents and grandparents. The garden is great for children - places to run, build dens and a tree to climb. And with the village minutes away a fantastic location. Things to improve on: a bbq is mentioned but there wasn’t one and a tumble dryer needed (especially if you have a rainy week). A lovely family holiday house.

The house and garden have been great - clean, comfortable and well equipped.
We have had a lovely week here in Croyde. We have enjoyed sampling the delicious Ice Cream in the village and the wonderful cream teas at Sandleigh team Rooms. Most of our time has been spent down at the beach which has been particularly popular with our 2 year old. The house and garden have been great - clean, comfortable and well equipped. It might be worth mentioning that the hot water gets very hot, very quickly - so watch out when washing up or washing hands!

Our second summer stay at this lovely house. We've been very lucky with the weather and spent most days at the beach. Highlights have included: renting a beach hut at Saunton Sands (£20 per day), Meals at The thatch and Blue Groove, Lovely back massage at Saunton Sands Hotel, Baggy Point walk, Play area at the back of the village, very popular with our boys and of course many pasties and Ice Creams! We hope the next occupants have a great holiday.

Another lovely seaside holiday, very nice to come back to this perfect holiday house. Plenty of room for the six of us, 3 generations of Putsborough Beach lovers over 35 years. Croyde, busier than ever, but the "newes" features of pizzas baked outside the post office and the early morning fresh baked breakfast pastries from the old cream shop very welcome additions to our old favourites: Hobbs Bistro, The Thatch and of course Fish & chips in Squires at Braunton! I'm sure we'll be back!

Our 2nd time here in Summer Shores and 5th time in the wonderful Croyde! We stayed 2 weeks this time and found the house as easy and comfortable to lie in as the last time. We've eaten particularly well at The Thatch and The Stores. Enjoyed the odd visit to Woolacombe, But mostly just body boarding and walking.

Lovely house, quiet and restful. Very climb-able tree. Good meal at the thatch - wide selection of Ice Cream. Wonderful to be back in Croyde. Only thing missing is a clock.

It is beautifully decorated throughout and very comfortable.

We would recommend Putsborough Beach - it is vast and stunning. We ate at Hobbs in Croyde which was lovely. The Rock in Georgeham is super but a little expensive.

The house has been brilliant and we have been able to relax here after busy days out with our 2 & 4 year olds. Croyde is beautiful. We walked to Putsborough Beach from the house. Croyde beach is very picturesque and we caught a few crabs in the rock pools.
People in Croyde are very friendly and great with kids. We have really loved it here and don't want to leave! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. The location is perfect, with pubs, shops and beach all within easy walking distance. With two young children we haven’t ventured too far, but they would have been happy if we’d spent every moment on the beach. This is pretty much what we have done, as the weather has been perfect. We did take a trip out to Woolacombe beach, but preferred the one here in Croyde. The girls enjoyed a day out at The Big Sheep as did we, as we virtually had the place to ourselves. It is worth booking online, which you can do the same day – as you get 25% discount. We are really sad to be leaving and hope to return sometime soon.

The location of the house is ideal
The house is well equipped – we liked the highchair for our grandson! The kitchen is lovely and has everything required. The location of the house is ideal for the village and a quick stroll to the beach in the sunshine- it is great! As for the beach – fantastic! We brought the children to Croyde, now they have brought theirs! We shall be back. Thank you.

A super stay at Summer Shores. Cosy, homely and everything you could ask for. Croyde was fab and had everything to offer. The girls enjoyed the ice creams and all bodyboarded. Had a fab meal at the Blue Groove restaurant. We also went to Clovelly and Atlantic Village shopping village, stopping at The Thatch for lunch. If you go to Clovelly, the jeep ride back up is well worth it – lots of giggles! Already talking about next years stay!

Our stay with our 3 grandchildren was comfortable and relaxed – the children enjoyed the garden and the downstairs bathroom was super – shower so large we really appreciated quick clean ups after the beach. Fantastic cottage in a great location
Summer Shores is a fantastic 3 bed cottage in a prime location in Croyde. All 3 bedrooms are spacious with a beautiful kitchen / diner and a separate lounge. The patio doors open up onto a secluded garden with a patio area and seating. There is an outdoor shower area for cleaning off the wetsuits. The downstairs shower is huge and great for all the family. We would certainly not hesitate recommending to any fellow travellers. It's a 1 minute walk to the centre of the village for the pubs / shops and 10 minute to the beach - what more could you want !!

Really lovel stay. Facilities in the house were great and the house was clearly well cared for. Lovely meals at the Thatch and Billy Budds, who were great with our children. We spent most of our time on the beach, apart from a trip to The Big Sheep – a must to visit if you have children. A great house, thanks and we will be back.

Located 5 Mins from Croyde village with lovely pubs and shops, in a very quiet road. The house was immaculate with a lovely flat garden and a good outside wetsuit washing area.
The driveway is narrow and steep.

Particularly liked the outside Wetsuit cleaning area - we were body boarding every day , with great weather.We have always likes the South hams , but Croyde village , with Cider Sundowners on the terrace at Billy Budds - was Ace !

Weather was sunny and we were on the beach most days – including body boarding. Recommend Billy Budds and The Thatch for great pub food, you will need to book!
