Sharlands11 is a very spacious house, large enough for our big party , small children, mums , Dads and grandparents,, beautiful large garden for games, and large seating area. The views from the kitchen/ lounge is just amazing. The only draw back is to actually get in the garden, (walk down stairs and through the garage) quite difficult with a glass of wine. But would stay here again.
The house was beautifully decorated and felt very homely. It was very well equipped with everything we would need, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool table and air hockey table in the garage are a fab addition for classic english summer weather! Our family of 7 had more than enough room to come together, as well as have our own space - we would love to stay again.
Sharlands 11 is a large, comfortable home close to the great amenities in Croyde. We were a mixed generation family group of 7 & all agreed, on our review. There was insufficient hot water for us all to get showered in the morning to go out for the day, or evening to go out for dinner, which was really frustrating. The towels supplied consisted of a rather old small bath towel and hand towel, would have preferred a bath sheet & bath towel, especially for ladies washing hair. There are no tea towels provided or cleaning products (apart from washing up liquid) so take your own ! There is definitely no hot tub, but it still appears in advertising materials both online and outside the property. We had double checked with our booking agent, but this is still misleading & needs updating. None of the clocks had been changed, just an added niggle, when the cleaners had been in several times prior to our arrival. When paying a premium it's always nice to have a 'welcome pack' and as a very well travelled group have always had a little something, a cake, milk etc - nothing fancy or expensive, just nice touches. The holiday company left us an empty shopping bag ! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but feel this property is lacking in value & finesse touches for its premium budget.
The property was great and it made for a really nice base on a chilled out holiday. It was spacious and well decorated and was perfect for our group.
We've been coming to Croyde for over 10 years and I can honestly say this is the best house we've stayed in. Beautifully decorated and filled with everything you need for a great holiday. A warm outside shower is a godsend after surfing & for dog washing. Kids loved the giant tv in the playroom as well as the pool table. Very peaceful sitting in the hot tub after a day out. Highly recommend.
Booked via Ocean a few times over the years, always good. This time, they resolved issues before we even arrived and their communication (Richard!) is top notch. Totally recommend, book early! Property was just fantastic, well equipped, ideal for just chilling. Will be back..
We stayed at Sharlands 11 in Croyde and the house was lovely. Better towels could have been provided. The hot tub was out of order and had to be replaced. The large parasol outside was broken when we arrived. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed the house and setting.
Had the most amazing week in the most amazing house , everything was just perfect and more , much needed family time spent in comfortable surroundings , the house had everything we needed and extras , clean and so well appointed , Croyde is a beautiful place to be too , so happy with our stay and definitely wanting to rebook . Sad to leave excited to stay again
To place yourself in Croyde for a family holiday you could not fault the choice of 11 Sharlands. The accommodation was spacious, light and quiet. There were good features such as a spacious garden which included a hot tub and outside shower. The bedrooms were lovely and suited our family of 4 adults and 3 children. The kitchen/diner was modern and had good appliances. The lounge next to the kitchen was spacious and comfortable. Within the garage there were a couple of pool tables and a washing machine. All-in-all the accommodation was well fitted out. All amenities and the beach were close by within walking distance. We had fantastic walks up over the hills to Saunton sands beach and the views along the walk were stunning. One of the best places ever to have a holiday.
This modern property is in a good and convenient location. It has everything you need for a multi generation family holiday. It is very well appointed, was immaculately presented and enjoys outstanding views to the front and rear. The first floor lounge/kitchen/diner is a really good size and with bifold doors adds a different perspective. Our grandsons particularly enjoyed the huge tv! The master suite, also on the first floor is grand, with super king size bed, dressing area and large bathroom. The three bedrooms on the ground floor are of a standard size, but well appointed. The outside hot shower is a necessity in Croyde and the hot tub a real bonus in this very private fairly large garden . We all enjoyed playing on the pool tables in the garage. Any queries we had on arriving were promptly answered by Ocean Cottages, we felt very well supported. We love Croyde and visit most years and will definitely use Ocean Cottages again.
We originally booked back in 2019 but had to rearrange twice due to the Covid restrictions, however it was definitely worth the wait! Sharlands 11 is a beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable house, ideal for a number of families to share. We'd love to come back again at some point

This property was not disappointing at all. It is of the highest standard providing the perfect family getaway we desired to celebrate an 80th Birthday. Everything was comfortable & perfectly clean & very well equipped with all mod cons. All age groups from 17 - 80 enjoyed all the property had to offer. The location was ideal near the beach for Lovely dog walks & the recommend pub a few minutes walk away. We all said we would stay here again.
The house was perfect for our family celebration, with 6 adults 2 children and a dog the house felt spacious and made a great party space, we all loved the games room and enjoyed the hot tub, the location was perfect for access to Croyde beach and also a short car journey to Woolacombe and Saunton sands, we loved our week there and hopefully we will be back!

Sharlands 11 was a beautiful house which was very well equipped and comfortable. The facilities were great with lovely views and garden. A good size for 10 people. The wetsuit area and outdoor shower with a separate entrance was very useful and the hot tub with views of the hills was a great luxury.
This is by far the nicest place we have stayed. We have already booked for next year!
What a fantastic house! Shame the rule of 6 restricted who could come on this pre-lockdown holiday! We loved the amazing lounge, hot tub, baggy point walks and surfing. The views to lundy island from the beach were lovely and we loved the chilled feeling of this house.

This is our favourite time in Croyde and this is by far the best house we have stayed in. Fab location for for getting to the beach, lots of great walking and had an excellent meal at the Thatch. We particuarly enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub. We have already booked to come back to Sharlands next year!!
The property was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had ample room for everyone. There were 3 generations plus our dog. All had a great fun time. Grandchildren loved the two games in the garage and loved having their own tv/games room. We were only a few minutes walk from main town and beach. The views from our kitchen/diner were stunning. Lots of good walks which again we all thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to return. A great property.
the bath in the main bedroom needs somewhere to put a bath of soap and a grab rail for us older people to get out .i had great difficulty getting out .and instead of fridge and a freezer up stairs and a big one the garage put in two fridges.as the eating habits of my family vary
Sharlands is a beautiful property in an ideal location for the village and the beach. The property is very spacious and light and has plenty of room for a large group.
We were a family booking, myself and sister and our families. This house was amazing, we were looking for something that would provide us the space and luxury that we wanted and this certainly did that. Everything is to such a high standard it did not disappoint, it was clearly not the cheapest we could of found but I would definitely say it was worth it, as there was nothing we could fault. Also everything was impeccably clean. Would not hesitate to book again for our next trip.
Stayed for a week in feb, weather was awful. However, the place we stayed was amazing, great service from the team who run it, communication was great and friendly. The place we stayed was clean, mod-cons, just bring food. Only one thing missing was tumble dryer as wasn't able to dry clothes due to weather. But it didn't stop us having a great time! Thanks for having us we will be back!
We had a wonderful Christmas & New Year here at Sharlands 11.
It was decorated with a real 10ft Christmas Tree and it looked and felt like home from home. Can't wait to come and make more memories in 2020.
