We chose Woolacombe for a surfing weekend during October and wanted a place close to the beach. This place was perfect for our needs. The apartment was spotless and easy to get into. An added bonus was a purpose built board rack where we could spray down our equipment. For those with EVs, each of the parking bays has a Pod Point charging point. 

We'd give the apartment 9 out of 10 - it really is terrific. The only minor criticism was the master bed and pillows - these don't match with the quality of everything else in the apartment. As a group of 4, we found the apartment to be spacious and extremely well equipped - shower pressure and quantity of hot water were both very good.

We quite enjoyed our stay at Ocean Point which was situated quite close to the sea, although the only glimpse of the sea was from the bedroom window. We chose this property primarily for 3 reasons, 1 it was close to the beach, 2 It had a washing machine, and 3 it had a king size bed. Although the first point was accurate the other 2 points were misrepresented on the website. There is no washing machine and although the bedframe may be king sized, the mattress, the bit that matters, is only 4 feet 6 inches. I think the website should amend its details. We found the property impersonal. The first item that greeted us was 3 sheets of laminated paper giving us instructions about what we should do when we left the property. We had to remove the rubbish, but no helpful instructions on where to put it. We had to work out where the wifi code and how the operate all the amenities. It would have been helpful if all this information had been included in a welcome folder.

We were advised that we would be informed when the cleaner left the premises on arrival day but it would appear this is not the case. We arrived early just in case and paid appropriate parking in the town due to the strict warning not to enter prior to 5pm. Rather than renew our parking any longer we tried to gain access at 4:45pm & the cleaner had long since gone. Why weren’t we informed?! This apartment advertises a king size bed & it is only a double so this is very misleading. We have a king size bed at home & there was a noticeable difference due to wooden surround which you can’t sleep on. Apartment was spotlessly clean with the exception of one cotton wool bud found in bathroom & the inside of the kitchen bin lid & surround was filthy. Cleaner had extended time so surely there was time to do this. The location of the apartment was excellent as long as you are ok with a hill. We were lucky enough to sit outside every day but this outside area was neglected. Clearly hadn’t been swept for quite some time. Probably not the fault of the owner but the outside of the building let’s it down & is not in keeping with the high standard inside. The shower in the en-suite needs attention as it smelt quite ghastly. It went as soon as we ran hot water down so maybe it hadn’t been used for days? Still not a very nice welcome so could probably be fixed.

Very last minute, 3 night booking, excellent company very accommodating, will definitely use again when holidaying in Devon. Apartment was lovely very clean, well equipped and very close to the beach.

Really enjoyable stay. Great place and base for local adventures.

Having our own holiday homes we know how important it is to make sure things are presented well and are clean and tidy. We really could not fault the property. The only thing (which did not bother us as we didn't use it) was the TV in the master bedroom had no signal.
