Saunton Holiday Cottages

Saunton Sands is a fabulous three and a half mile west-facing beach which enjoys brilliant breakers with fabulous surfing conditions and is firmly on the surfers radar!  The wonderful Sands on the beach catering establishment, nestles behind the sand dunes with a large terrace for outside dining and is positioned above the showers and surfboard hire shop and toilets.  There is also a beach shop together with café and there are surfboard and SUP lessons, surfboards and sea-kayaks for hire and, for some fun, sand buggies.  The beach is very popular for kite surfing and is dog friendly too!  The sand dunes which are the largest in England, provide a wonderful playground for the children and are a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with a wealth of flora and fauna.

Just around the corner from Saunton Sands sits the pretty village of Croyde and another popular surfing beach with sand dunes.  The quaint village has a mix of thatched and character properties, popular public houses such as The Thatch, Billy Budds and the Manor together with the Blue Groove Bistro, surfshops and Famous Ice Cream shop!  There is a lovely walk along the footpath from Saunton which leads into the village, over the beautiful hill with its wonderful views.

Overlooking the beach is the Saunton Sands Hotel, a popular venue for weddings and celebrations and the restaurant and bars are open to non-residents.
