Old Coastguards is a beautiful three bedroom house that has been tastefully furnished to an incredibly high standard throughout in a contemporary style yet retaining many origianl features. This lovely holiday cottage is just a short walk to the famous surfing beach and enjoys a beautiful enclosed, south facing garden, perfect for relaxing - your pet is welcome too!

 

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful coastal village of Croyde, Old Coastguards boasts a pretty outlook over the coast and surrounding areas. It also has an added bonus of being one of our fantastic pet friendly properties, a perfect excuse to extend the holiday invitation to your four legged friend. The property is close to all local amenities, with plenty of stunning walks and ample rolling countryside to explore on your doorstep. Sleeping 7 people (6 adults + 1 child (under the age of 15), this property guarantees to ensure that you have an amazing, memorable break away in complete comfort and luxury; the ideal location for an insight into a picture perfect coastal lifestyle.

Old Coastguards is a well presented 3 bedroom house located in stunning Croyde. The property offers spacious, luxury living with contemporary décor throughout. There is a gorgeous open-plan well equipped kitchen/dining room that has been thoughtfully created with modern fixtures and fittings. The kitchen itself has everything you could possibly want to ensure that you have a stress-free, relaxed atmosphere when cooking and catching up with family and friends. The crisp and fresh colours make the space feel light and airy, just what you want on a lovely sunny morning by the sea! There is a large dining table that seats 7 people, with a door that leads to the outdoor space. This lovely area of the house also has a separate utility with sink and washing machine, the ideal place to store sandy shoes after long days on the beach. There is also a downstairs W.C with hand basin.

The main sitting room lends itself to relaxing evenings in, with a sofa providing comfortable seating (4 seater sofa, two occassional chairs, a soft stool and a inside/outside beanbag). The gorgeous fireplace* is a real feature of the room, with chandelier lighting adding a touch of opulence to this great social space. A television is provided for guests to use at their leisure and there is a fabulous amount of floor space for those who enjoy an evening board game or two!

To the first floor there is a wonderful master bedroom with a spacious, modern en-suite shower room. This stunning room is complimented by cool white tones and is sure to deliver a calming place for you to sleep during your stay, with innovative hanging storage space for your clothes. On the second floor (accessed by a steep staircase) you will find two further double bedrooms, both of good size and decorated to a very high standard with comfortable bed linen and warming throws for the colder winter months. One of the double bedrooms also houses a zip and link bed and a single bed; the perfect set up for couples with young children. There are attractive, well placed lighting and feature fireplaces* in all of the bedrooms, adding to the overall charm and appeal of these fabulously relaxing rooms. A large family bathroom can also be found on the first floor, with drench shower head over the bath and contemporary floor to ceiling tiles - a great space for winding down in a bubble bath after being outdoors exploring in the sunshine.

To the outside of the property there is designated secure parking for 2/3 vehicles, with the glorious sandy beach of Croyde just a short 5/10 minute walk away. There is a lovely south facing decked terrace area that makes the most of the sunshine and a small lawn for garden games, which is fully enclosed. Old Coastguards also benefits from an outdoor shower for hosing down boards and wetsuits. You are guaranteed to have the best time here, leaving with silver lined memories of the perfect holiday.

Additional Booking Information

£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.

50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 4 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable).  If your dates are within 6 weeks, full payment is required.

Check-in time is from 6pm and the check out time is 9am.
