Wonderful house great location

We rented this house for a week in mid -late May, 2023. The house was absolutely stunning! We had 11 people and we were never crowded. Several different lounging and eating areas meant that groups could sit quietly or not. Kitchen was large enough for big family meals. Location was the best! Croyde is a wonderful village with 3 excellent restaurants in walking distance. The beach is phenomenal. We walked each day about 5 miles to neighboring villages. Bus is easy also. I would imagine the village would get overrun in the summer…it's very small and a surfing hot spot, but May was perfect. We couldn't have been more pleased with this house, and our stay in beautiful north Devon.

What an amazing period courage in a beautiful English seaside village. The property couldn't be in a better location in the village with everything on your doorstep. The wonderful large kitchen and huge farmhouse table allowed all the kids and adult to enjoy great times together. For anyone worried about Covid the house was spotless when we arrived and obviously had been thoroughly deep cleaned and sanitised. From the minute we booked through Ocean cottages the whole experience has been faultless and we will be using their services again and booking to stay at Montague farmhouse next year.

We have really enjoyed our holiday at Montague Farm and wished we could have stayed longer.It's a lovely holiday home for a large family gathering and right in the centre of the village.

The house was amazing and had everything we needed for a fab holiday. We were in the hub of Croyde itself so it was very convenient for a pop to the post office which sold some convenient things that we needed. The beach was only a 15 minutes walk at the most. Which was handy when you are carrying a lot of bags. We enjoyed our stay in Montague Farmhouse and would not hesitate to come back again.

The house is well situated in the centre of Croyde and very spacious for large groups to enjoy time together. Family friendly and practical.

Montague Farmhouse is brilliantly positioned right in the middle of Croyde village; 50 yards to the coffee shop, stores and post office and 100 yards from the shop and pub. We were a three generation family of 10, and the house was really comfortable with a superb dining kitchen and two lounges. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, which meant we hardly used the cars at all.

A fab week with lovely friends - this time next year - see you again!

A fabulous week spent with the family, such a perfect location...dangerously close to the ice cream parlour! We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the near future. Thank you!

A uniting of 2 families. A wonderful venue to have spent it in. The large kitchen and eating area was the ideal set up to bring us all together. Kids loved the attic. Location in the heart of Croyde made access to the surrounding attractions hassel free. Generally a lovely feel. Thanks

Brilliant place to stay as very central. As previous review said kitchen area etc fabulous which was well equipped. Matilda ,the housekeeper was very helpful. The bathrooms were very poor but they are being refurbished shortly I believe. Would certainly book with Ocean Cottages again

We would highly recommend this holiday house! A short, easy walk to the beach and literally a one minute stroll to the village centre shops, pubs and cafes. There's plenty of room for a big family gathering and we loved the kitchen come diner, which was a bright, comfortable space leading onto a terrace. The walled garden was perfect for family BBQ's and generally relaxing. Our only suggestion for improvement is to upgrade the bathrooms, which apparently is planned work for this Autumn.

Had a lovely family break at Montague Farmhouse and the house keeper was brilliant!
