The kitchen of the property is a fantastic size and boasts a contemporary design. It is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including a large American fridge/freezer, electric oven and induction hob. There is ample space for cooking and dining, with a solid wood breakfast table and bench seating for 10 - 12 guests. There is a day sofa next to bi-fold doors that lead out to a small courtyard area. There is a separate utility room with a sink, dishwasher, washing machine and cupboard storage.
Sitting & Living Rooms
The large reception room provides ample space for family relaxation and entertainment - there is a dining table with chairs for 6-8 people which provides the ideal space for a good game of cards or a family board game! For the those who prefer to relax whilst still being in the 'hubble bubble' of family life, there are some comfortable arm chairs and a sofa next to the wonderful open fire place. A tv is also available in this area.
The separate formal living room provides restful seating for 8 - 10 people with an attractive feature fireplace (unfortunately not in use) and a flat screen freeview TV and DVD player (DVD's not supplied)- perfect for keeping the little ones entertained between activities! This room has the benefit of overlooking the garden.
To the first floor there is a very large master bedroom with a double size canopy bed, ample wardrobe space and an en-suite bathroom. To this floor there is a further double bedroom with a Queen size sleigh bed, a twin bedroom and bunk bedroom with additional single bed and pull out trundle bed for a child. A set of narrow stairs leads to the second floor where a twin bedroom is found (reduced head height).
There is a shower room to the ground floor with wc and washbasin. To the first floor there is a family bathroom with electric shower over the bath, a separate wc plus the en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom which also has an electric shower over.
Outside there is an enclosed garden with outdoor dining table and chairs for 8 people plus 2 benches and a coal BBQ for guests to use. There is a good amount of storage for bikes/surfboards. Parking is suitable for 1 large or 2 small/medium cars on the driveway plus an additional road-side space for a small/medium car. If you require additional parking, the village car park is a 2 minute walk and a weekly permit can be purchased for approx £25.

£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.
50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable). If your dates are within 10 weeks, full payment is required.
Check-in time is from 4pm and the check-out time is 10am.

The facilities within the cottage are fine, and the location is ideal, placed almost at the centre, everything is within easy reach. The lack of blinds or curtains at the lounge windows allows all passers by to look in and at the rear, the garden belonging to the adjoining apartment goes alongside the kitchen window , so that occupants of the adjoining apartment do look in whilst going to their apartment so in general the lack of privacy is uncomfortable
What an amazing period courage in a beautiful English seaside village. The property couldn't be in a better location in the village with everything on your doorstep. The wonderful large kitchen and huge farmhouse table allowed all the kids and adult to enjoy great times together. For anyone worried about Covid the house was spotless when we arrived and obviously had been thoroughly deep cleaned and sanitised. From the minute we booked through Ocean cottages the whole experience has been faultless and we will be using their services again and booking to stay at Montague farmhouse next year.

The house was amazing and had everything we needed for a fab holiday. We were in the hub of Croyde itself so it was very convenient for a pop to the post office which sold some convenient things that we needed. The beach was only a 15 minutes walk at the most. Which was handy when you are carrying a lot of bags. We enjoyed our stay in Montague Farmhouse and would not hesitate to come back again.
