Our family spent last week in lovely Croyde and wow what a week we had. Arrived to find one of the bedrooms was a double a should have been twin. Contacted Matilda the housekeeper who very promptly and easily resolved the situation. Thanks. Everything and more that we needed in the house. So much space for our large family. The games, puzzles and book shelf had everything we needed. Even managed a 3 hour game of Devon Monopoly! The hill to the house was a challenge but on the up side, it certainly burned off a few calories! What a superb view from the balcony. Perfect place to sit after a busy day. Thanks for a lovely stay. Clean, comfortable and would recommend staying at this lovely property.
Stunning views Great location Comfortable, well equipped house Been twice, hope to be back again!
A fabulous 5 bedroom house with fantastic views across Croyde Bay. Everything you could wish for in a holiday house. Walking distance of the pubs and restaurants in the village. 5 star!
We booked Luckenborough as a base to celebrate a milestone birthday for one of the 14 members of our family. It was initially quite tricky to find a place big enough to accommodate our group, however Luckenborough offered ample space. The property is well equipped and has a nice family feel. The kitchen was modern and had all the appliances, crockery and utensils you could possibly need. The views from the property were absolutely amazing, but not surprising as the approach to the property was incredibly steep. Parking was good, and 4 cars easily fitted on the driveway. Luckenborough is walking distance to the local amenities as well as the beach. We would love to return, albeit when there isn't a storm, but even then it was a lovely place to stay and experience the elements.
The house enjoys a spectacular view of the bay, is spacious and well appointed and sits in its own grounds on a grassy hillside. It was in immaculate condition when we arrived. We had a great time.
This spacious house met all our needs, it was hard to find a property that had double beds in all rooms. Such a great location to the village and beach. Good workout climbing back up the drive. Recommend for a large family like ours
Lovely week, best views of Croyde.... House was well equipped and furnished to a decent standard . As always Richard and the team at Ocean were on hand with any issues. We would definitely rebook.
Loved staying here again. The view is superb, the layout works extremely well for our group of nine people, and we hope to return for a sixth visit next year.
Super property with the best view in the area! We have now stayed there four times, and hope to book for a fifth. It suits our three generations very well, with a kitchen well equipped for large opening onto the dining area and living room.
We had an incredible time here and we could not get over the wonderful view! Certainly, a summer we won't forget.
atching up with friends and relatives. Leaving in glorious sun too. Highly recommend Blue Groove in Croyde - new chef- fabulous, good buzz too! Always sad to leave. The Rock in Georgeham is excellent and the Kings Arms is good too.
We had a most enjoyable Easter weekend at Luckenborough with three generations of our family. Making wonderful memories that I will treasure always. Only slight problem was using the hob as there were no instructions! Thoroughly recommended and hope to return.
What is not to like?!
Amazing views, great bedrooms, well designed and stocked kitchen, amazing views, loads of space for 10 adults to stay, amazing views, plenty of space around the dining room and in the lounge
Did I mention the amazing views?!
Storage for bikes and boards
Drive is very steep, but Mr Sainsburys managed it so not impossible!
Luckenborough is a lovely property situated within a few minutes walk of Croyde centre and the beach. Very spacious with large window expanses looking right down into the bay. We were a party of 7 and had space to spare. Beach was lovely and the kids really enjoyed the surfing. The deckchair cinema was great fun and we really liked the Stoned pizzas! Definitely somewhere we would consider coming to again.
