The WOW factor doesn't stop after enjoying the beauty of Croyde Beach when you drive round Down End... When you choose Hideaway as the base for your holiday, the attention to detail in the presentation of the property will ensure your holiday is relaxing and enjoyable from the start to finish.
Living
From the entrance of the property, the open plan hallway flows into a large, dual aspect living area with large smart TV and DVD player. The bright pops of colour in the soft furnishings and the feature wood burner ensure you feel cosy and comfortable even on the most wintery of days. Large patio doors lead from this room with steps into the garden and to the games room.
Dining/Cooking
The kitchen is well equipped to ensure dining and cooking for the family is as stress free as possible. A range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large American fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are provided. The extendable dining table is situated in the kitchen area with seating for 8, two more chairs are provided upstairs, and a dining bench can be moved from the lounge if required. A door from this room leads onto a paved garden area with a picnic bench to enjoy alfresco dining. There is also a utility room.
Sleeping
There are 5 bedrooms in total, two of the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, one a double with en-suite and the other a twin bedroom. Toi the first floor there is a large double bedroom with wooden cot available, a small double room and a flexible room with zip and link beds which can be arranged as a king size or twin (please note these beds are 2' 6'' wide which is narrower than the standard single bed width of 3"). This property has been converted from a bungalow and as a result the upstairs bedrooms do have some height restrictions as can be seen in the photographs.
Bathing
To the ground floor there is a large wet room with shower, wc and wash basin accessed via the hallway and also gives access to the patio are with hot tub. The downstairs double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and upstairs there is a family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Outside
The hot tub is situated on the patio area to the side of the property (additional charges apply) and there is a lawned garden. A games room can be found at the bottom of the lawned area of garden which is well equipped with an air hockey table, table football and retro arcade games machine. This is sure to be the most popular area for the children of the group. A coal BBQ is provided.
There is a porch for shoes and outerwear. Parking for up to 3 vehicles to the front of the property.
Good To know
PLEASE NOTE - For the guests security there is motion sensing security camera in operation on the properties driveway. All footage is deleted after a period of 21 days
Retractable stair gates can be found at the top and bottom of the staircase. Please note that due to the installation and design of the stairs, these gates leave a gap at the bottom which could potentially allow a child to crawl beneath. Please ensure that children are supervised at all times.
Please note that due to the surfboard design of the garden gate, the garden is not a secure space for unaccompanied dogs.
Wifi, bed linen & bath/hand/hot tub towels are provided free of charge.

Rental & Booking Information
£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.
50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 4 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable). If your dates are within 6 weeks, full payment is required.
Check-in time is from 6pm and the check out time is 9am.

Please note, to ensure optimum cleanliness & hygiene of the hot tub, it will be completely emptied and re-filled with water and chemicals on your arrival day. Therefore, the hot tub may not be up to temperature until the morning after your arrival.

I have stayed in a number of places in croyde and all are a very high standard, happy to say that hideaway doesn't disappoint in this sense and the location is really the icing on the cake. In such strange times this was the perfect home away from home and we loved our stay, the games room was definitely a winner with the kids! We had a slight issue on our stay with the cooker and this was quickly resolved with minimal fuss thanks to all concerned! A small suggestion that some areas need updating, upstairs shower and potentially cooker?
We spent a week here with 5 adults and 2 children and fell in love with the house. The location is perfect with the village only a 1 minute walk away and quick access to the main road to Braunton and Barnstaple etc.. The things we particularly loved were :- The fantastic oven with plenty of room for a large group The parking The extremely well stocked kitchen cupboards of utensils, cutlery etc…. The large supply of children's cutlery, plates etc…. The baby changing area in the utility room!! The amount of food storage available The library of DVD's and books The games and children's toys The underfloor heating!!!! The TV was a really good size and although we plugged our Apple TV in, we would've been well covered without (Netflix available) Having the cot in the room was great and saved us using our travel cot. Having a proper cot was a very nice touch. All of the beds were very comfortable (That's coming from quite a large couple and a 20 stone plus man.) Due to my daughter swapping beds I ended up having a sleep in all three upstairs beds! The retractable stairgates were great and so nice and easy to use and didn't get in the way at all when not being used. There were a good number of electrical sockets everywhere for nightlights, chargers, baby monitors etc… The little personal touches such as the welcome pint of milk and biscuits etc…. Overall the amount of space for 7 of us was amazing and even at full capacity would be plenty especially with 3 toilets/showers. The communication generally via email and text was great and we always felt if there was an issue then it would be dealt with without any hassle. We have already booked for next year and hope to be regular guests at Hideaway.
Brilliant holiday cottage ,well equipped ,kitchen , lounge area , games room and great hot tub etc,comfortable bed rooms . Plenty of parking for 3/4 cars. Very near village centre for shops pubs cafes. 10 minute stroll to the beach .

We had a lovely week,the house is clean, spacious, and met all our needs. The bedrooms were comfortable and had lovely furniture. Good location close to some beautiful beaches. Thankyou .
Excellent cottage. Clean and welcoming . Enough room for 9 of us and dogs. We loved the games room and enjoyed an air hockey tournament. Croyde is a 1 min walk away. Hot tub was fab. Very well appointed kitchen. Saunton sands a great beach for dogs and kids!
Hideaway is a spacious, comfortable and very well presented house. We were particularly impressed with the amount of baby / toddler equipment and the selection of children's dvds. The hot tub was fabulous and very well maintained. The garden and games room was brilliant too. The only thing to note was the side gate could easily be opened by our 3 year old! - so parents might need to be made aware of this. The location was great too - in a quiet cul de sac but close to all the amenities. We all had a fabulous time.
4 Generations ages from 2yrs to 92yrs and the house was perfect for everyone. Spotlessly clean , well equipped and lovely bedding. Great location for local amenities Croyde Bay and surrounding beaches. Everyone had a fab time. Highly recommended.
A lovely break in a great holiday cottage with the added bonus of a hot tub and good weather. Croyde has some good places to eat and drink with a nice beach and coastal walks.
This was our first stay at The Hideaway and it certainly didn't disappoint!! We had such a fantastic week that we have already booked again for next year!! We cannot wait!! The accommodation is spacious and of a high standard. We found the log burner very welcoming on the October evenings. We cooked several family meals on the large cooker and had great fun seated around the large dining table. The situation of The Hideaway is perfect for walking access to the village - where there are some lovely places for meals and drinks. The lovely beach is within easy walking distance - ideal for everyone - especially for the dogs to have their daily exercise.
