Chuggs Cottage is situated in the heart of the coastal village of Croyde. It is a charming home with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room and a useful separate W.C. The property has been refitted, redecorated and refurnished to an incredibly high standard with a wonderfully warming, country cottage feel throughout. Chuggs Cottage is located just a short walk from the centre of the village and beautiful sandy beach and close to all local amenities.


This fabulous cottage is a pretty, partly thatched holiday home that can be found positioned in the heart of this stunning village.


The attractive, open plan living/dining area has comfortable seating for 6 guests and has been tastefully decorated to a very high standard, with stunning beams and a log burner for those all important, cosy winter evenings in. There is also a flat screen smart TV. 


The kitchen is fitted with all the modern appliances and equipment needed to make your stay a real home from home. There is a dishwasher, cooker with hob and all the utensils you will require to cook up a feast!


To the ground floor (down a few stairs off the kitchen) there is a lovely double bedroom with plenty of storage.  Upstairs, there are a further 2 bedrooms, one being a king size bed and the other a twin, both have a lovely mix of modern furniture and high-quality bedding, mixed with original features such as ceiling beams and fireplaces.


Downstairs there is a contemporary bathroom with drench head shower over the bath and upstairs there is a shower room.


The property is accessed via a shared driveway where you will find that there is parking for 2 cars.  Two store rooms provide storage for bikes and surf boards (with a rail for wetsuits) in the enclosed, lawned garden which is South and West facing. This is a really good sized outdoor space, ideal for children and pets to run around and feel exhilarated in the fresh, coastal air. There is also an added bonus of the hot tub in the garden! (charges apply)

*Please note that due to the age of the property, the stairs are steep and narrow and the flooring upstairs is uneven in places so young children, the elderly and people with restricted mobility need to be very careful.

Family break away in Croyde, Devon in the most beautiful Chuggs Cottage. Plenty of room and within walk in distance to Croyde Village perfect location. Ocean cottages were great and would definitely use again and recommend them.

Beautifully decorated and cosy cottage in prime position.

We spent 4 nights at Chuggs in February. Arrived late after a long drive and was pleased to find a fantastic cottage, immaculately clean and lovely and warm. Three good sized bedrooms, three toilets and two bathrooms which looked very new. The kitchen is a galley one and had everything you could ask for although it did take us a while to find the cafeteria! The cottage is just a minutes walk from the centre of Croyde and about 15 mins to the beach. It was absolutely perfect for us as a family of 4 but could easily accommodate a larger family. One of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in and we will certainly return!

Rental & Booking Information

Additional Booking Information

£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.

50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 4 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable).  If your dates are within 6 weeks, full payment is required.

Check-in time is from 4pm and the check out time is 10am.

Subject to availability and if requested upon booking.

  • Highchair - One highchair supplied free of charge
  • Travel Cot  (Linen not provided) - £5 per week
  • Dog  - £20 per week.
  • Linen - Provided free of charge
  • Bath/Hand Towels - Provided free of charge
  • Hot Tub -  £100 per week

Any special requirements?  Speak to us and we will be pleased to do all we can to make your stay special.

Please note, to ensure optimum cleanliness & hygiene of the hot tub, it will be completely emptied and re-filled with water and chemicals on your arrival day. Therefore, the hot tub may not be up to temperature until the morning after your arrival.
