*NEW PROPERTY DISCOUNT AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 2022* New to the holiday rental market for 2021, this character 3 bedroom cottage is located very close to the centre of Croyde and just a short stroll to the famous surfing beach.


Chapel Cottage is a charming and surprisingly spacious, character cottage which dates back to 1533 and is located in the heart of Croyde village giving great access to the many shops, pubs and restaurants.  The beach is a 10 - 15 minute walk away making this the perfect base for your family holiday.  New to the rental market for 2021 with availability for August!


The main living/dining room has wooden beams to the ceiling, a large inglenook fireplace (currently not in use) and a lovely window seat looking out across the main access into Croyde village which is lined with picturesque cottages and stone walls.  There is comfortable seating for 6 - 7 people, a smart tv and dining table with bench seating for 6.  There is also a bookcase with plenty of reading material available for cosy nights in or rainy days!


The L-shaped kitchen opens into a small garden room area giving access to the side courtyard.  The kitchen provides plenty of cupboard space and is well equipped.  There is a fridge/freezer, electric oven with hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.  There is also a small table and some stools for morning coffee or perhaps working from home if required!  The 2 ground floor bedrooms lead off from the kitchen.


The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has a king size bed plus a single day bed (additional charge and only suitable for a child).  There is ample wardrobe storage in this room and it is served by the upstairs shower room.  Downstairs there are a further two bedrooms, the double is accessed via steps which lead down from the kitchen (stairgate in place at top of steps) and the twin bedroom is accessed via ladder style steps leading up from the kitchen (it is not possible to put a stairgate on these stairs unfortunately).  This room is only suitable for able bodied guests!


To the ground floor there is a family bathroom with bath and to the first floor there is a shower room serving the master bedroom.


There is one designated parking space for the property and a small courtyard which has a bench seat, small table and stools plus a BBQ area and coal BBQ (coal not supplied).  There is a hose pipe for washing off after the beach and wetsuit hanging rail.

A new property discount is available for bookings made for dates prior to 31st March 2022 of £50 - £100 per week

Free wifi is provided as well as bed linen and one hand & bath towel per person.

Please note - the layout of this property means that it is not suitable for people with restricted mobility and due to the age and uneven floor levels etc, some areas could cause injury to unsupervised children, therefore younger children should be supervised at all times and not allowed upstairs or in bedrooms alone.

Rental & Booking Information

£60 non-refundable booking fee payable at time of booking.

50% of the accommodation cost and booking fee are required to secure the booking. The remaining balance & payment for any extras is due 8 weeks prior to arrival along with the refundable damages deposit (if applicable).  If your dates are within 10 weeks, full payment is required.

Bed linen and hand/bath/hot tub towels are provided.

Check-in time is from 4pm and the check-out time is 10am.


Subject to availability and if requested upon booking.

  • Additional Guest Day Bed - £25 per week/short break, compulsory if total of 7 guests

We enjoyed our stay at chapel cottage. The beds were comfortable and the location was excellent and we could walk everywhere. There were a few issues on arrival which were sorted out immediately by the agency. We would recommend this house to friends and would go back there ourselves.
